We’re proud to share that Serene has been named one of the winners of TSB’s FinCrime Innovation Lab for 2025 – a programme focused on tackling some of the most pressing challenges in financial crime.
The timing couldn’t be more important.
UK Finance recently reported £1.17 billion lost to payment fraud, with £580 million lost to authorised push payment (APP) scams alone. As regulatory changes continue to evolve – including the recent FSCS deposit limit increase – the urgency for stronger prevention is only growing.
The cost to firms is rising. And for customers, the consequences are becoming more severe.
Strengthening prevention is no longer optional – it’s essential.
As part of the Labs programme, we’ll be working closely with TSB Bank to apply Serene’s predictive behavioural intelligence to a critical challenge:
Identifying customers who may be more susceptible to scams – before harm occurs.
By understanding behavioural patterns and contextual signals, we can enable earlier, more targeted interventions – delivered with confidence, precision, and care.
Because improving resilience doesn’t start at the point of fraud. It starts with understanding, education, and acting early.
